About Me
Hello! I am a graduate of the illustrious Dillard University where I received my BA in Mass Communications. I am a sports journalist and public relations/communications specialist with experience in working across different mediums and industries such as agencies, publications, and sports teams. I currently hold the position of Community Engagement Specialist with Harris County Pollution Control Services. I have previously served as an Account Executive with KGBTexas Communications, Public Relations Assistant with Harmony Public Schools Central Office, and Communications Assistant for the XFL Houston Roughnecks.
While maintaining both full and part-time positions, I am continuing to build my portfolio for social campaigns and both print and digital platforms as my bylines can be found in Houstonia and Essence Magazines. My writing verticals include sports, entertainment, Houston culture, food, and more. Previous interviews include Taraji P. Henson, Jemele Hill, Lovie Smith, Dusty Baker, Stephen Silas, Julia Morales, Wade Phillips, and Kenny "The Jet" Smith.
With over 5 years of experience in both print and digital journalism, I also have 3+ years of experience in public relations and project management.
Whether it is on paper, creating engaging social content or working behind the scenes in the press box, I would like to take the many skills I have acquired and work together with like-minded individuals to make a difference within an organization and our world.
Resume, references and certification are available upon request.
